Time: The Ultimate Business Strategy

What do businesses need more of?
It's not what you may think. More leads, higher sales, new markets, better SEO? No, these are measures of performance and what every business wants more of. What owners need most is time, insights into their customers and employees, templates that help them understand new functions like search optimization, and a system of management that allows them to maintain control while delegating responsibility.
John Jantsch in his Duct Tape Marketing Blog focused my attention on time with his blog Document, Delegate, Dominate.
The big insight to me is the focus on time as the primary need, which is facilitated through functional processes. Though I target the small to mid-size business market I tend to think in large company terms of goals (customers, sales, profits, leads, etc.), functions (marketing, sales, operations), skills, and tactics. But I believe he is on the mark with time. To gain time, in addition to the functional processes listed, I would add processes that would gain insights into customer and employee values and beliefs, and a system of management that allows owners to maintain control while delegating responsibility.
Mission: To help small and mid-size businesses capture the power of big-picture marketing.
